Habit tracking without guilt.

Most habit trackers count days in a row, and one missed day sends you back to zero. Good Work shows how often you did the thing instead: a rate for each habit, logged in a daily Review that takes a minute. Skip a day and your history stays as it was.

Daily Review

The daily Review: meditation skipped today, deep work open on a target lowered from 3h to 2h, and a paused Run 5k metric

Habits without the guilt

Three things most habit tracking apps do differently.

01 · Rates over streaks

A rate for each habit, not a chain

Five workouts in the last seven days reads as five out of seven, not as a broken streak. Quarterly and yearly Trends reports, on Premium, show whether each habit is improving or slipping against the period before.

A quarterly Trends report against the previous quarter: sleep improving, family dinner on track, workout declining, savings flat

02 · No guilt

Pause a habit, adjust a target, skip a day

A new baby, an injury or a busy month changes what's realistic. Pause the habit or lower its target, and pick it up again later. Log what you can; your history stays intact.

03 · More than habits

Habits next to the rest of your life

A habit is one kind of metric. Track hours slept, pages read or money saved alongside your daily ticks, grouped into life dimensions such as health, family, work and learning.

How you use it

A minute a day, no chain to protect

Start with the two or three habits you care about most, and give each a target you'd hit in an ordinary week.

  1. Set it up once

Add each habit as a metric with a target and a rhythm: daily, weekly, monthly or yearly.

  2. Each day

Open the daily Review and tick off what you did, in one list. Anything you didn't do can be skipped.

  3. When you miss a day

Nothing resets. The day counts as missed or skipped, your rate moves a little, and everything before it stays as it was.

  4. Each month and quarter

Look at the rate, not the chain. Monthly progress is free; Trends reports on Premium compare each habit with the quarter before.

Questions about habit tracking

Is Good Work a habit tracker?

It tracks habits, and more. Each habit is a metric with a target and a rhythm, and you see how often you hit it rather than a count of days in a row. The same dashboard holds numbers such as hours slept or money saved.

Does it have streaks?

No. There is no streak counter anywhere in Good Work. You see daily, weekly and monthly progress for each habit, and quarterly and yearly trends on Premium.

What happens if I miss a day?

Nothing breaks. You can skip the day, pause the habit or adjust its target, and your history stays as it was.

Can I track habits that aren't daily?

Yes. A habit can be daily, weekly, monthly or yearly, such as three workouts a week or one savings transfer a month.

Can I track more than habits?

Yes. You define every metric yourself: a tick, a count or a number. Group them into life dimensions to see health, family, work, money and learning side by side.

Is it free?

Yes. The free plan includes unlimited metrics, the daily Review, daily, weekly and monthly progress, skipping, pausing and adjusting targets, and tasks. Premium adds quarterly and yearly Trends reports, Withings sync and Premium for up to 5 family members, and starts with a 30-day free trial.
