About Good Work

Measure your life. Manage what matters to you.

One question

In 2017 I started asking myself what a good life looks like, and how I would know if I was living it. Not a bucket list, but the everyday things: sleep, exercise, reading, time with family, work that matters, money that isn't a worry.

From notebooks to spreadsheets

The natural next step was to track it. I started with bullet journals, which became a chore. Then I moved to Google Sheets, with a column for every metric I cared about. Some weeks I logged everything, other weeks I forgot. But over months, patterns showed up that no single day could show.

As the spreadsheets grew, they got heavier to keep up and harder to learn from. Good Work is the tool I wished I had.

What Good Work believes

  • Your whole life, on one screen. Health, family, work, money and learning, side by side.
  • Trends over streaks. A bad week, or a new baby, shouldn't erase months of progress.
  • No guilt. Skip a day, pause a metric, change a target.
  • You choose what to track. No preset wellness score.
  • Honest about what it does. If a feature isn't built yet, we say so.

Who builds it

I'm Henrique Pacheco, and I build and run Good Work from Portugal, and use it to track my own life. You can read more about the thinking behind it in the philosophy behind Good Work.
